Dana (Dean) Simpson is a professor and educational consultant from the Boston area. He teaches literature, language and writing courses in a number of languages. He received his masters and doctorate degrees in Modern Languages from Middlebury College, as well as a Masters in Higher Education from the Harvard School of Education. He has taught in Spain, South Korea, the US and China. His research interests include Vanguard and Symbolist poetry, European Medieval Studies, Feminist Studies, Second Language Acquisition, Innovation in Teaching, and Change Management. His creative interests include writing poetry and blogs on professional development. He has published numerous poems and articles in literary journals in Spain and Latin America. His fourth book of poetry in Spanish, Retrato en sepia (Verbum Editorial) is his most recent book.
