We welcome undergraduate students and high school students around the world to apply to our summer session. People who are neither undergraduate students nor high school seniors may apply, and the JNU admissions office will evaluate his or her candidacy on an individual basis.
Our program requires all students to prove their English language proficiency in the application. You must be qualified for at least one of the following conditions to pass our English language proficiency requirement.
1.English native speaker
2.Studying or Graduated from an institution where English is the main language of instruction
3.Have a valid TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score which is higher than 80 (iBT) or equivalent scores in other forms of TOEFL tests
4.Have a valid IELTS (International English Language Testing System) score which is higher than 6.0
5.(For Students in Chinese Universities) Successfully passed CET-4 or other equivalent/higher level standard tests. Chinese undergraduates and high school students may also request a phone interview conducted in English by the JNU admission officers in lieu of providing examination scores. Successful completion of such phone interviews will be sufficient for matriculation into the JNU summer session. Those students will need to contact JNU to request for a phone interview via email: oiss@jnu.edu.cn, or their application will not be considered complete.
